Georgia is a Edinburgh based freelance illustrator, workshop facilitator and aspiring Children's Author. In 2019, having spent 6 years working with children and studying Child Development, Georgia decided to pursue her dream of being a children's illustrator.  She enrolled in Goldsmith's Children's Illustration Masters, where she developed her technical skills and a distinct, whimsical style, full of humour and intricate detail.
Georgia works primarily in traditional mediums, combining and refining to create digital images. Her preferred materials are gouache, ink and  pencil but she's always open to experiment and play.
Georgia loves to share her drawing, painting and technical skills with others and is building experience teaching workshops and contributing to community projects.
Georgia draws on her background in psychology and direct experience with children in her writing. Writing primarily in poetry form, she finds  the limitations imposed by regularity of rhyme and rhythm makes for exciting narrative discoveries;  an exciting mix of creativity and problem solving. Georgia's dream would be to one day produce an illustrated poetry anthology for children.
Georgia's poem, Brave was shortlisted for the Bournemouth Poetry Prize in 2021.
For any picture book enquiries, Georgia is represented by Lorna Hemingway at Bell Lomax Moreton.
